Chemicals for use in Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs
We offer you a range of chemicals designed for swimming pool and spa use. Select from sanitizer products based on chlorine, bromine and active oxygen (peroxide compounds), with a full range of pH correction chemicals, algaecides and flocculants.
Water for swimming can be sanitized using any of the following popular treatments:
- chlorine
- bromine
- persulphate (known as 'active oxygen')
- polymeric biguanide (marketed as Baquacil and Revacil, with supporting range of products)
- copper and silver ions
- ozone
- ultra-violet light
The last two systems cannot provide a residual for continuous treatment after filtration. They are applied within special chambers as humans cannot be exposed to the concentrations of ozone or U-V light as are used.
