We supply filter cartridges that are made by top American cartridge makers - brands such as Pleatco, Unicel, Harmsco, Filbur Manufacturing and others. They are made to sizes that fit the application in a wide range of makes of hot tubs - the names below are simply offered as a guide.

The important part of any filter is the dimensions, so that it fits correctly. Let's start by checking your filter's dimensions, either in inches or in millimetres. Many cartridges are made in the USA and are measured in inches - and when they come into the UK where we measure them in millimetres, so let's check the sizes!

All measurements can vary by up to an eighth of an inch - three to four millimetres - as filter cartridges can shrink, stretch, sag or distort with age, so do remember this when comparing new with old.

DIAMETER: Start by measuring the outer diameter or width of your spa filter.

LENGTH: Then measure the spa cartridge's length - the distance from end cap to end cap INCLUDING any handle or extension, but EXCLUDING any adaptors in the base cap.

HOLE DIAMETER: Your spa filter may have a hole in one end (with a handle or closed top), or a hole in both ends. Measure the diameter of the hole excluding a taper if there is one. If the hole is slotted, measure across the shortest distance (not including the slot).
