Hydroair 440 Pumps for Hot Tubs.

The spa pumps made by Hydroair are high quality units that offer great performance and last for years. If your hot tub pump is an Hydroair model (previously known as ITT), and has a problem, the chances are that it has served you well and could be several years old! The name Genesis was used for the range of pumps and blowers, but in the current range only the blowers are called 'Genesis'.

ITT offered the GC and GD series of spa pumps until 2004, when they replaced them with the 440 Magnaflow range, and these were known as 'Version One'. With more improvements and modifications the current range is now called Version Two - hence 'V2' after some pump numbers below. These are now made by Hydroair - part of the Balboa water group.

If you are replacing a 440 Magnaflow with a new one, it should fit straight in. If you are looking to replace a Genesis pump - say a GC 150 - then the new replacement has to be a 440 Magnaflow. However, the connections are different, and your old ones are probably solvent welded onto the pipe - so what can you do? Just tell us if you are replacing a Genesis pump with a Magnaflow, and we'll send you new pump-flange connectors, short lengths of new straight pipe, straight solvent weld connectors and the right glue, so you can make the changes yourself.

If your old pump is a GC150-2XJ-B, this was a special production model for Spaform, with different external wiring. Perseus 450 whirlpool pump

The 450 Perseus pumps from Hydroair were developed to create the ideal flow characteristics for your whirlpool system.

This new motor offers a high degree of efficiency with a 20% reduction on power consumption when compared to the first generation of Perseus pumps with the same output.

The design of this pump is very compact, to make it suitable for installation in small pump housings of small whirlpool systems. For quick and easy installation, the cable and air switch connections are mounted at the back of the terminal box.

There are four versions of the 450 series of pump:

• The 21-4522 is a self draining model with a drain screw

• the 21-45221 is a self draining model with drain screw, for a pneumatic switch

• the 21-4532 is a self draining model with no drain screw

• the 21-45321 is a self draining model with no drain screw, for a pneumatic switch

The motors on all of the above models are the same - rated at 0.75HP - the P2 or output figure. Some models have been superseded in 2010 - please check with us for details.

The new generation of the Perseus 460 family of pumps is designed for high performance with silent running. These offer a highly efficient design with a smaller power consumption than the first generation of 460 Perseus pumps.

Pump model numbers 21-46171, 21-4617, 21-4605, 21-46051, 21-4667 and 21-46771, have now been discontinued, there are appropriate alternatives for these available - please let us know if you have any of these models and we will be pleased to help with this!

For a quick and easy installation, the air and cable connections are mounted at the back of the terminal box.

This pump design is compact and efficient, intended for medium to large whirlpool designs and smaller hot tub applications.

HA 350 whirlpool pump

The HA 350 whirlpool pump from Hydroair offers great performance with low noise levels, from a very compact design.

The innovative motor design ensures efficient cooling of the electric motor as well as a good airflow over the front bearings to keep these cool too, ensuring longer life.

Rubber feet are incorporated into the design to offer quick installation and minimal vibration when in use. Air switch and cable connections are positioned at the back of the terminal box for easier access and installation.

430 Pumps

The Series 430 was designed to provide excellent performance and durability in your whirlpool bath. Some models had a central suction point in the end-plate, and some were self-draining, with the suction connection near the bottom of the end-plate.

The HA 430 pump range also offered a number of different motor sizes. We purchased final stocks of these from Hydroair, but even these have run out now! Please call us with details of your model to see which would be the most appropriate model to replace yours.
