Submersible pumps are great if you need to drain a pool or pond - as you empty a pool direct to drain without getting months of algae and leaves near to the filter bed.

This stainless steel submersible pump can really help when you need to drain a pool or pond. With a 1.25" outlet, this pump has an 8m head limit, but can move up to 9.8m3 of water - that's 9,800 litres or 2158 gallons per hour.

A submersible pump enables you to empty a pool without contaminating a filter bed with months of algae and leaves. It also gives you time to clean the walls down while they are still wet - which is often much easier! If the grille is a Certikin main drain unit, this should fit inside the sump. This can be really useful as the final stages can be the slowest and the hardest to move!

Freshwater Submersible Pump

We have just taken delivery of these great little submersible pumps, to be ready for the end of the season should you choose to drain you pool, pond or hot tub.

These pumps are designed for use on clean water, i.e not for dirty silty conditions like you would find on a building site, and so are a great accessory to have by your pool.

The pumps are operated from a 230v domestic type wall socket, and are supplied with a 10m rubberised cable. 550 Watt power means these will pump up to 11000 litres an hour, to a maximum of 8.5m head - meaning theres plenty of power to pump out a pool even 8.5m deep!

Connection is simple for these too - they are suppled with a stepped hose tail connector, so you can connect a variety of hose sizes!
