ITT Magnaflow 440 whirlpool & spa pump
The ITT 440 Magnaflow pump is offered in both single speed and two speed versions. This pump design is the current model for use in hot tubs, replacing the former Genesis range with models such as the GC and GD series that were discontinued in 2004. Magnaflow pumps have already been modified since 2004, and the current models carry the number 'V2' indicating that they are 'Version Two' models. As an upgrade from a GC pump in your hot tub - don't worry - these purr like big cats and the performance is amazing!
This unique design of pump offers excellent flow performance for large whirlpool applications and hot tubs with multiple features and jets. This design has a central suction inlet and two drain connections. The 2-speed Magnaflow can be used for water therapy at the high water flow-rate and filtration at the low flow-rate.
If your hot tub is a Spaform, fitted with a GC 150 series 2-speed pump, the only current replacement is the 440 Magnaflow. The flange connections on the Magnaflow are different from the older GC models, and you will need to change the pipe connections in your hot tub. In view of this we supply two short lengths of straight pipe, straight solvent-weld connectors, the correct new ITT flanges and solvent-weld cement to help to make this an easy job for you. If you wish to make further changes, for example replacing Valterra 2" slide valves and maybe some bends, we can supply these too.
There are three models in the Magnaflow range:
- The single speed model is item 20-4409V2 - with an electronic switch,
- the single speed model with a pneumatic switch is number 20-44091V2,
- the two-speed model is number 20-44092V2, with a 1.5HP rated motor.
