Baquacil products
Baquacil
Baquacil is a polymeric biguanide swimming pool bactericide.
Baquacil is a non-chlorine sanitiser that has proven over many years to be very popular with owners of private pools that are not heavily used. Standard pH balance chemicals can be used with Baquacil, but Baquacheck is the only compatible algaecide for this system.
Baquacil is packed and supplied in boxes of 4 x 3 litres, and we can only ship it by carrier in full boxes - we cannot supply individual bottles, sorry!
Baquacil Shock
Baquacil Shock is a hydrogen peroxide based clarifier that is compatible with Baquacil.
Baquashock works in conjunction with the Baquacil, and as a peroxide based compound it acts quickly to get your pool back into condition.
It is packed and supplied in boxes of four x 3 litres.
Baquacil Algaecide.
Baquacil Algaecide is the only algaecide to use with Baquacil!
Baquacil Algaecide operates in combination with Baquacil in a swimming pool to control algae, and it is important that there is an adequate level of Baquacil in the water to support the Baquacheck.
Check also that the circulation pump is operating for long enough each day, that the filter does not need backwashing, has a clean strainer box, and that there is no other debris such as leaves in the pool to absorb the Baquacil!
Baquacil ALgaecide is supplied in a box of six x one litre bottles.

Baquacil Liquid Clarifier.
Baquacil Liquid Clarifier is THE flocculant for use with the Baquacil system.
We are one of the suppliers in the UK to carry this excellent clarifier. It is supplied in a box of four x 3 litre bottles - for safety reasons we cannot deliver it by carrier in smaller packed quantities, sorry!
A flocculant really is essential in every pool that is equipped with a sand filter. When it is added to the water - ideally after every backwash - a flocculant, or coagulant, forms in the upper region of the sand bed, and this traps smaller particles than a sand bed can by itself, producing a much better quality of filtered water. Baquacil Clarifier produces water that is clearer, crisper and sharper in appearance - your eye will become very critical when looking for the best standards in your pool!
If your pool water looks hazy and lifeless - use a flocculant after each backwash to enhance the sand bed and produce lasting results. The flocculant helps the sand bed to trap finer particles than a sand bed can by itself, and after a couple of days and a few 'turnovers' you can see the difference. Each time that you backwash a sand filter, for best performance it is essential to re-condition teh filter bed with a fresh dose of flocculant or coagulant. In fact it has become a feature of 'good practice' in busy public pools to dose the water continuously for optimum results.
This is the genuine product from the makers of Baquacil!
Baquafloc tablets.
Baquafloc tablets are the solid alternative flocculant for use with the Baquacil system.
Baquafloc is best added to swimming pool water after each filter backwash. It conditions the sand media by creating a coagulant gel that reduces the size of the particles that are trapped in a filter bed. This in turn produces a better quality of filtrate.
Baquafloc is supplied in 1kg boxes of eight x 125 gramme tablets. Simply pop one tablet in your pool skimmer after each backwash, and see the difference that using a high quality flocculant can make.
