Longlife Algicide

Champion Longlife algicide is a copper sulphate based treatment that has been developed to help to keep your pool clear through an extended period.

Champion longlife algicide is supplied in a 2 litre bottle, which is sufficient to treat 54,552 litres or 12,000 gallons of water.

An excellent way to prepare your pool for the winter period is to do as follows:

• Sweep the pool thoroughly with a brush and net to remove visible debris,
• Give the sand filter a thorough backwash,
• Drop the water level to leave room for the winter rainfall,
• Add the required amount of Long-life algicide and continue pool circulation to distribute the algicide effectively,
• You may then cover the pool over with the winter debris cover, and isolate and drain the pool pump which can be removed for dry storage through the winter.

This procedure should ensure that your pool stays clear for 4-6 months, to take you through to the Spring when you are ready to prepare it for the new season.
